Simon Almström


Simon Almström is a seasoned product leader and advisor with over two decades of experience across fintech, sustainability, AI, and manufacturing. His career began in software engineering and progressed through leading product organisations before focusing on strategic advisory and board roles. This blend of technical depth and leadership experience enables him to bridge vision with execution.

Simon has worked with some of Europe’s most ambitious companies, including Klarna, Zettle by PayPal, Doconomy, Northvolt, and Scania. He is trusted by investors, founders, and executives to bring clarity in complex situations, align strategy with delivery, and guide organisations through key transitions.

He works closely with leadership teams, often during inflection points, providing structured guidance while also being a steady, pragmatic partner. His approach combines analytical rigour with operational experience, ensuring that recommendations are not only strategic but also practical and actionable.

Our Story


The name Fyrish Ventures is named after the Fyrish Monument in northern Scotland, a symbol of purposeful effort and enduring vision. Built in the late 1700s to provide meaningful work during hardship, the monument represents pride, resilience, and purposeful contribution. This spirit captures what Fyrish Ventures seeks to reflect: to give good people meaningful work, support ventures that matter, and build something lasting.
